( 1 ) 难 点：英语被动语态的常见句型及其翻译方法。
（2）重点：accent, acquaintance, concept, constant, contrast, criticism, dwell, eliminate, assured, encouragement, excessively, hobby, impression, inadequacy, inferior, interpret, isolate, overcome, overdo, overweight, passive, reasonable, self-esteem, come along, set aside等。
（3）领会：the more... the more...; it's + adj. + that结构的用法；
（4）综合应用：利用本单元所学单词、短语及语法和句型结构使学生能够听懂、读懂、看懂与本单元主题相关的背景知识，并就与性格有关的话题进行个人发言、小组讨论和书面表达，能够较准确翻译一般的句子和段落; 能够准确翻译

Unit 2 Myths and Legends (10 periods)
1、学习目的和要求
通过本单元的学习，使学生掌握文中的目标词和短语；熟悉本文的篇章结构，掌握复述技巧，逐步学会用英文描述故事；了解与神话、传说相关的中西文化背景；熟知否定句的句型及其翻译；练习用叙事结构写一篇生动的故事。

（3）熟记：approval, dutiful, dye, famine, hut, invitation, mat, palm, shell, skillful, somewhat, spokesman, ungrateful, at the very thought, choose to, escape someone's notice, jump to one's feet, now and again, rest assured that, set off, slowly but surely等。
（2）领会：中西文化差异；叙述故事的技巧；
（3）综合应用：利用本单元所学单词、短语及语法和句型结构使学生能够听懂、读懂、看懂与本单元主题相
