仁爱九年级上册Unit2 Topic2 SectionC英语说课稿

Good morning, everyone. I?m very pleased to have the opportunity to show my teaching ideas here. The topic of this is “Saving the Earth”. I?ll prepare to say the lesson from six parts.

Part 1 My understanding of the lesson 一. Analysis of the Teaching Material

This lesson is the third one of Topic 2 and it is a reading passage .Teaching contents of Topic 2 are about the problems caused by pollution. Such a topic is related to daily environment, so it is helpful to raise learning interests of Ss. So if Ss can learn it well, it will be helpful to make the Ss learn the main content of this topic. And it also help Ss to improve their listening, speaking, reading, writing abilities.

二.Teaching Aims and Demands

According to the New English Curriculum Criterion , teaching material and my Ss , my teaching aims contain the followings.

1. Knowledge aims

(1)Grasp vocabularies of the page: on earth, ozone layer, carbon dioxide, period, millions of, take away, pollute, oxygen, radiation, blanket, escape, rise, the greenhouse effect, level, and refer to. (2)Learn more about the harm caused by different kinds of pollution and reasons of these kinds pollution.

2. Ability aims

(1)Get information by using simple reading strategies according to different reading purposes. (2)Improve Ss? listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities, and increase Ss? ways of study.

3. Moral aims

(1)Develop the students? sense of environmental protection.

(2)To develop the spirit of cooperation through teamwork and pair-discussion; (3) Arouse Ss? interest in English learning

三.Key Points and difficult Points

1. Key Points

(1) New words and phrases.

(2) Learn to talk about the harm of pollution:

①Forests have become deserts, so more and more sorts of animals and plants are disappearing. ② As a result, many rivers and lakes are now dead.

③ Too much harmful radiation from the sun passes through the hole and reaches the earth directly.

④ It causes the level of the oceans to rise and the climate of the earth to change.

2. Difficult Points

(1) Enable the Ss to use the new words and phrases to express their ideas in daily life. (2) Develop the ability of skimming and scanning.

Part 2 Analysis of the Students

The Ss has learned English for more than 2 years so far. They understand some words and simple sentences. They are curious, active, and fond of game, competition, and various activities. But it?s difficult for most of them to show about their ideas and they are also shy to speak English in public and afraid of English writing. So according to my Ss? level, I?ll try to provide better teaching methods to help improve their ways and abilities.

Part 3 Teaching Methods and Aids

一.Teaching Methods

In this lesson, My teaching methods include :audio-visual teaching method, communicative teaching method, Scene teaching method and task-based teaching methods.

As we all know, the main instructional aims of learning English in the Middle School is to cultivate students? abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English language. So, in the lesson, I?ll mainly use the four teaching methods. I?ll let the Ss to get a better understanding of a passage and improve their synthesis abilities.

二.Teaching Aids

In this lesson, I?ll use a Multi-media computer, a Tape recorder, Power point and so on.

Part 4 Learning strategies

1.Teach the Ss how to be a greener person.

2. Let the Ss pass ?listening—Speaking—Reading? to study language.

3. Teach the Ss how to master the passage and how to communicate with others.

Part 5 Teaching Procedure

I?ll finish this lesson in 5 steps.

Step1 Review

1. Ask the Ss to say the pollution that they have learnt before. Such as: air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, noise pollution, light pollution and litter.

2. Ask the Ss to discuss the effects on our environment or health that caused by pollution.

Purpose of my designing: It?s necessary to provide situations to review learned knowledge.

It?s helpful for the students to report the results of their discussion. and lead to today?s content. Step 2 Presentation

1. Show some pictures in 1a, ask Ss to describe each picture using the given words. Then ask them to match the pictures with the given phrases.

2.Listen to 1a,and ask Ss to find out the main idea and choose a suitable title for each paragraph by using the reading skills we have. Master the new words (Task 1) What?s the main idea of the passage?

A. Environmental problems B. Pollution on the earth C. Hope for the future D. The greenhouse effect

Purpose of my designing: To present by describing pictures with multi-media is much easier

for the Ss to grasp the meanings. And it can also help raise Ss interest.

Step3 consolidation

1. Let students listen to 1a again with these questions and answer them. (Task 2) (1) Why are more and more sorts of animals and plants disappearing?

? Because people have cut down millions of trees. (2) What does the ozone do?

? The ozone layer can prevent the sun's harmful radiation from reaching the earth

directly.

(3) What problem will the rise of carbon dioxide cause? ? The greenhouse effect

2. Listen to 1a again and let students choose the best answers according to 1a,and finish 1b . 3. Let students read find out the key points and difficult points in 1a and solve them with the teacher.(Task 3)

All over the world, people have cut down millions of trees.

Some things we?ve done are very good for the earth while some are bad. When it rains or when the wind blows, the earth is taken away. As a result, many rivers and lakes are now dead.

The heat from the sun can’t escape so the temperature is rising.

It causes the level of the oceans to rise and the climate of the earth to change.

Purpose of my designing: In this step, I ask Ss to listen, read again ,it can make the Ss get the

general idea of the passage ,At the same time, let the Ss practice their listening and speaking abilities.

Steps 4 Practice

1. Divide the class into two groups. Let two groups find out the influences of O3 ,CO2 and the greenhouse effect on the environment. Finish 2 2.Discuss: What should we do to protect the earth?

Purpose of my designing: let students know about the influences of O3, CO2 and the greenhouse effect on the environment. Learn to how to protect the earth. In this step, the Ss have a free platform to communicate with others. It can improve the Ss? spoken ability and also their ability of co-operation will be well trained.

Step 5 Project

Make a social survey. Then fill out the following table Result of pollution Reason sandstorms Harm Action Cult down millions Change rich land Don?t cut down trees of trees sandstorms into desert Purpose of my designing: By making a survey, the Ss can sum up the key sentences and know how to use them correctly. It can help Ss create the information gap and help them finish their homework well.

Step 6 Homework

1. According to the above table, write a passage about “Saving the earth”. 2. Review Section C and preview Section D 3. Finish the Ss? Workbook exercises.

Purpose of my designing: It?s necessary to give Ss good and proper homework, and it?s

important for the Ss to do some extensive exercises after class to consolidate the knowledge they learned.

Part 6 Blackboard design

At last, I’ll talk about Blackboard design:

In my opinion, the blackboard design can reflect the teacher?s ability of mastering the text and

lead the Ss to master the text easily.

All these problems are very serious.

Section C
